| Other noteworthy communities in this region include: Hemet, where the Ramona Pageant is held each year; Victorville, home of the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum; Temecula, the core of a well known wineproducing area; and Ontario, with an international airport. Nearby Palm Springs has attracted celebrities and sun worshipers for years. There are many recreational and sports activities in the desert as well as great shopping. Home of the 1928 California Theater of Performing Arts, San Bernardino County to the north is becoming well known for its special events such as the spring Renaissance Pleasure Faire and the fall Wildlife Festival. |
