History City of Riverside
The Inland Empire region offers the best of both worlds: cities rich in culture and history, with a wealth of recreational opportunities. The region's skyline is dominated by the mountains, which feature wonderful vacation spots. Four-season resorts and spas offer a variety of activities, including snow skiing and water skiing, boating, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, golfing, horseback riding and mountain biking.
Riverside is a city abundant in cultural events, architectural wonders, lush landscapes and history. Click on the Mission Inn photo to go to Mission Inn .com home page for more info.  Click on your back button to return here. Home Located in the heart of Riverside is the   Mission Inn, an historic hotel built in the early California mission style,
Mount Rubidoux, site of the nation's first Easter Sunrise Service, and Fairmont Park.  You will also find two of my kids favorite play centers Ice Town and Castle Park. Links to these sites are below, as a courtesy to my local clients and those who find them of interest.  Icetown's site has a coupon special going on now for Sunday p.m. skating sessions.

Other noteworthy communities in this region include: Hemet, where the Ramona Pageant is held each year; Victorville, home of the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum; Temecula, the core of a well known wineproducing area; and Ontario, with an international airport.    Nearby Palm Springs has attracted celebrities and sun worshipers for years. There are many recreational and sports activities in the desert as well as great shopping. Home of the 1928 California Theater of Performing Arts, San Bernardino County to the north is becoming well known for its special events such as the spring Renaissance Pleasure Faire and the fall Wildlife Festival.
